Pantora is for adults aged 18 or older. By using Pantora you confirm that you are at least 18. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up, and we may suspend or delete any account we believe belongs to a minor. We set this limit because Pantora offers optional paid purchases and we require account holders to have full legal capacity to enter into a contract.
Pantora is a social game of skill and knowledge. You call the outcome of real-world events (such as sports, crypto prices, weather, and public events) and compete with other players for points, levels, ranks, streaks, and leaderboard positions.
There is no stake. You never place a bet or a wager in Pantora. What you put behind a call is conviction: a free allowance that refills on its own over time, up to a daily ceiling. Conviction is neither money nor a score, and it is never sold to you on its own. Taking part costs you nothing: you can play Pantora in full, for as long as you like, without ever paying anything. A paid Boost can make that free allowance refill faster and raise its daily ceiling (see section 4) — but it cannot increase how much of your play counts towards your rank.
There is nothing of value to win. Points, XP, Rating, levels, ranks, streaks, achievements, and leaderboard positions have no monetary value and cannot be spent, traded, withdrawn, redeemed, or exchanged for money or anything of value. Pantora never pays out money, prizes, or anything of monetary value, and there is no prize draw, jackpot, or payout of any kind. What you win is standing: your level, your rank, and the right to brag about it.
Because there is no stake and nothing of monetary value can be won, Pantora is not gambling, betting, a game of chance, a lottery, a sweepstake, or a prize competition. Nothing in Pantora is financial, investment, or betting advice.
Event data: the events, questions, probabilities, figures, and results shown in Pantora are compiled from third-party data sources. They reflect real events but are provided for entertainment only; we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timing, and we decide in good faith how each event is settled.
Simulated activity: to keep events active and balanced, some accounts and some voting activity in Pantora are generated automatically by the system ("simulated players"). Simulated players are excluded from the ranked global leaderboards and never receive anything of value. They may appear elsewhere in the app — in discovery and suggestion lists, in an event's recent-votes and top-players lists, in search results, and in follower lists — and the activity and probabilities you see on an event may include simulated activity.
Conviction is a free, self-refilling allowance that lets you take part. It is granted to you, never sold. It is spent when you make a call and is not returned to you, whether your call is right or wrong; what a correct call earns you is points, never conviction back. You can always keep playing by waiting for it to refill.
Points, XP, Rating, levels, ranks, leaderboard positions, achievements, statistics, and all other game data are part of the game, not assets. They: (a) have no monetary value; (b) are not your property, money, credit, or a balance owed to you; (c) cannot be withdrawn, redeemed, sold, gifted, or exchanged for money or anything of value; and (d) cannot be transferred between accounts. They are licensed to you on a limited, personal, non-transferable basis for as long as your account exists, and that license ends when the account is closed or terminated.
We may adjust, correct, expire, or remove game data where there is a valid reason to do so — for example to correct an error or a mis-settled event, to reverse the effects of cheating or manipulation, to keep the game balanced and fair, or where we are required to do so by law. We will not do so arbitrarily. Your rights under data-protection law (such as access, erasure, and portability of your personal data) are unaffected — but they do not create ownership of, or any right to compensation for, game data.
The only thing Pantora sells is a Boost. A Boost is a one-off purchase of a fixed-duration in-game benefit that starts the moment the purchase completes and ends automatically when its period runs out. Boosts run for 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days, as shown on the product before you buy.
Nothing renews. Boosts are not subscriptions. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge: when a Boost's period ends it simply stops, and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy another one.
A Boost does one or both of the following, as stated on the product: increases the XP you earn, which raises your level; and makes your free conviction allowance refill faster and hold more by raising both the rate at which it refills and its daily ceiling.
What a Boost cannot do. A Boost is neither currency nor conviction: it cannot be converted into conviction, points, or money, and it cannot be transferred to another account. Any refund of a Boost is a refund of money by the store, as described in section 5. Most importantly, a Boost cannot increase your Rating, your rank, or your position on any leaderboard. How much of each day's play counts towards ranking is capped, and that cap is the same whether or not you have bought a Boost. Buying is entirely optional, and nothing in the game requires it.
Who you are buying from. Boosts are sold only through the app store you installed Pantora from, using its in-app purchase system. For those purchases, the store — Apple — is the merchant of record and sells to you in its own name. Your purchase contract for a Boost is therefore with the store, and the store's own terms, payment rules, and refund policy apply to it. We do not take payment directly and we do not accept any other payment method. Prices are shown in your local currency before you buy.
Refunds. Requests for a refund of a Boost are handled by the store under its own policy. On an Apple device you can request one through Apple's "Report a Problem" process. If a Boost you paid for was not delivered or did not work, tell us at support@pantora.app and we will help you resolve it with the store.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms asks you to give up, and nothing in these Terms excludes or limits, any right you have under mandatory consumer law. In particular, if you are a consumer in the EU or EEA and a right of withdrawal applies to your purchase, these Terms do not waive it. A Boost is supplied over a fixed period rather than delivered once and finished. If you exercise a withdrawal right before that period has fully run, a proportionate amount may be payable for the part already supplied. Exercise these rights through the store you bought from, as it is the seller.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove events, features, rules, prices, and game mechanics where there is a valid reason to do so: to keep Pantora working, secure, and up to date; to fix errors; to comply with the law or with app-store requirements; to keep play balanced and fair; or to improve or extend what the game offers.
A Boost you have already paid for does not change. Its effect and its duration are fixed at the moment you buy it and are not altered by any later change we make to what Boosts do or cost.
If we do make a change that has more than a minor negative effect on a Boost that is still running, you may end that Boost free of charge within 30 days of the change or of being told about it, whichever is later, and receive a proportionate refund for the unused part.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app and require re-acceptance.
You may not sell, buy, trade, or transfer game data or accounts outside Pantora; use bots, automation, multiple accounts, or exploits; or manipulate outcomes or leaderboards. Doing so may result in the removal of game data and termination of your account.
Any attempted sale, rental, trade, gift, or transfer of accounts or game data outside Pantora — whether for money or anything of value — is void and a material breach of these Terms. We may, without notice, void the game data or accounts involved, reverse related gameplay, and permanently ban the participants, and we may report commercial-scale trading to the relevant platforms or authorities.
You may choose a username and optionally upload a profile photo and other profile details ("your content"). You must have the right to use what you upload. You may not impersonate any person, or upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes someone else's rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display your content within Pantora for as long as your account exists. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
Pantora — its design, code, branding, and original content — is owned by us or our licensors. Names — and, where shown, brand logos — of real-world events, teams, people, companies, products, and organizations appear in Pantora only to identify the events being predicted; we are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them. Some event images and logos are sourced from third parties (for example Wikimedia Commons and other public-domain or freely licensed sources) and are used under their respective licenses, with attribution shown in the app where the license requires it. If you believe any content in Pantora infringes your rights — including copyright, trademark, or image/likeness concerns — contact support@pantora.app and we will review it and, where appropriate, remove it promptly.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping it secure. We may suspend or terminate any account, and remove game data, for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or manipulation, or where required by law or the app stores. You can delete your account at any time in Settings. If we terminate your account other than for your breach of these Terms, and a Boost you paid for is still running, we will refund the unused part of it.
We may suspend or discontinue Pantora, in whole or in part, at any time where there is a valid reason to do so. Some events or features may be unavailable in your country.
Restricted jurisdictions: Pantora is not offered in the United States, or in other jurisdictions we restrict from time to time (reflected in the app stores where Pantora is available). You may not use VPNs, proxies, false location or country information, or any other means to access Pantora from a restricted jurisdiction or to disguise where you access it from. If you do, you act entirely at your own risk: you are solely responsible for compliance with your local laws, the account may be terminated, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability arising from access we did not offer in your jurisdiction.
Your agreement is with us, not with Apple or Google, except that a purchase you make through a store is a purchase from that store as described in section 5. Apple and Google are not responsible for Pantora or its content and have no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or any warranty for it, beyond any refund duty that cannot be waived. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Pantora is provided "as is" for entertainment. To the maximum extent permitted by law: we disclaim all warranties; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; and our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Pantora is limited to the greater of (a) EUR 50 and (b) the amounts you paid for Pantora purchases in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to death or personal injury, or to any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including your statutory consumer rights).
Indemnification: to the maximum extent permitted by the law of your country of residence, you will indemnify and hold harmless Pantora and its operator, officers, and staff from claims, damages, fines, and reasonable legal costs brought by a third party or authority arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms — including accessing Pantora from a restricted jurisdiction or buying or selling accounts or game data outside Pantora; (b) your content; or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right. This does not limit your mandatory consumer rights and does not apply to claims caused by our own fault.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@pantora.app — most issues can be resolved informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer-protection rules, or of the jurisdiction of the courts, of your country of residence; for all other users, the courts of Greece have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Sections 3, 7, 11, 13 and 14 survive the closure or termination of your account.
